
Off the Bayou was started in 2008 to bring quality home style cajun and southern cooking to the Walton County area. We offer many traditional Cajun, Creole & Southern style dishes with a blend of some creative and contemporary dishes as well. We are constantly working on our menu to meet the needs and requests of our customers; our Goal is to keep it fresh and inviting to those that seek these style of foods. Even in these economic trying times we feel that people still seek quality and personal service only a mom and pop type place can offer. All our food is made fresh to order and we stand by our slogan that " good food comes to those willing to wait."
Traditionally made in one pot, with meats and vegetables, and is completed by adding stock and rice.
Primarily of a strong stock, meat and/or shellfish, a roue, and the vegetable "holy trinity" of celery, bell peppers and onion. Gumbo is traditionally served over rice.
Traditionally made with red beans, onion and celery, spices and pork bones cooked together slowly in a pot and served over rice.

Traditional sandwich from Louisiana. It mostly consists of meat or seafood, usually fried, served on baguette-like French bread.
Entrees dipped in melted butter, a mixture of herbs and combination of spices cooked in a cast iron skillet.
Several of our entrees served with fries and hush puppies in a simple basket.
